Lizzie and Tony spent a year searching Iberia for the ideal location for this project. In February 2009, they discovered Sobral Pichorro, and in October 2009, they had moved their lives to the village. Before the project began, they lived in rural Somerset, close to Glastonbury, and ran a centre for holistic medicine called The Remedy Centre.

Together, Lizzie and Tony run workshops for healers and medical practitioners called The Healers Journey These workshops will become incorporated into the programme of courses on offer in The Seminario.

Tony and Lizzie are passionate about ecology, and working towards sustainable solutions. Their goal at Vale das Lobas is to facilitate a fusion between spirituality and ecology. We need to see in the round. Low impact living does require composting and recycling, but we also have to work on creating lasting happiness, which requires healing our ancestral wounds. Both aspects are essential to healthy, sustainable communities.
