Vale das Lobas Co-operative will be an umbrella organisation for the marketable produce of the eco-village. Individual or groups of producers will be entitled to sell their products to the Portuguese and international market under the label of Vale das Lobas. It will operate as a confederation of independent small businesses, with all the advantages that a large organisation can provide. As a co-operative, it will be non-profit, and it will employ its administration team and labour force from the income derived through it's activities. There will be an outlet store in the village, selling seeds, trees, produce, equipment and relevant literature.
The Co-operative will own a tractor, and some other equipment for shared use, to minimise the cost for it's members. It will also provide support to growers, and be a community resource to help each member maximise their success, and share the labour burden. Labour sharing is an important component of subsistence living, and the co-operative will help focus and organise the work at crucial times, such as spring planting and olive harvesting.
Small production units for creating products to be distributed into the wholefood and organic market will be supported and encouraged by the co-operative. The philosophy is that a strong circle is made from strong individual elements. With this in mind, supporting each member to use their skills to be creative, productive, and to provide an income that sustains them comfortably is a central goal of the co-operative ethos. The model where the economy is centralised, where work is organised as an obligatory contribution, and members derive little or no financial return for their efforts, creates dependency, and eventual burn out, and is contrary to the approach at Vale das Lobas.

- Trees.

- Medicine products - creams, ointments, tinctures, potions.
- Soaps, natural cosmetics
